A Simpro Zapier alternative for the work Zaps cannot do.
Zapier's Simpro app is a good way to copy customers, jobs and quotes between Simpro and other apps. Sprigr is for the back-office work around Simpro that needs the whole job, the money side, judgement and a person's approval. Here is where each fits.
Sprigr and Zapier on Simpro
Zapier's column is taken from its Simpro app page in October 2026.

|---|---|---|
| How it works | Agents and workflows that read the whole job and decide the next step | A trigger in one app runs fixed actions in another |
| Simpro triggers | 29 events: jobs, quotes, invoices and leads (including status), customers, sites, contacts, purchase orders | 12 triggers: new or updated customers, jobs, quotes, schedules and sites |
| Simpro actions | More than 300, including invoices, payments, cost centres, labour lines, purchase orders and timesheets | 10 actions: create customers, contacts, sites, leads, service jobs, service quotes and schedule blocks, update a job, attach a file |

When Sprigr is the better fit
-
You need more of Simpro than records
Zapier's Simpro app creates and finds customers, sites, jobs, quotes and schedules. Sprigr also works the money side and the detail inside a job: invoices, payments, credit notes, cost centres, labour lines, purchase orders, receipts and timesheets.
-
The step needs judgement
Reading a work order PDF, pricing a scope, checking a job has billable lines before it is invoiced: these are decisions, not field mappings. An agent reads the whole job and decides; a Zap passes fields along.
-
Money is involved
Sprigr stops for a person before creating, sending or paying an invoice, and offers an archive before deleting a job, quote, lead, customer or purchase order. Reversible changes can be undone for seven days.
-
Different people, different access
Each person connects their own Simpro login, so what an agent can see and change follows Simpro's own permissions for that person.
When Zapier is enough
-
A simple copy between two apps
If all you need is "new Simpro customer, add them to my mailing list" and your stack is already on Zapier, a Zap is quick to set up and easy to understand.
-
An app Sprigr does not connect to
Zapier connects thousands of apps. If the other side of your workflow is one Sprigr has no app for, and the Simpro side fits the actions above, Zapier is the practical choice.
-
You can use both
Nothing stops you keeping simple Zaps running and putting the judgement-heavy back-office work on Sprigr.
Moving a Simpro Zap to Sprigr
Start with the Zap that breaks most often or needs a person to tidy up after it. Describe what it is meant to achieve in plain English, for example "when a work order arrives, create the job with its cost centres and hold anything over $5,000 for me". Sprigr builds the workflow on the Simpro app.
Run both side by side for a week, compare the results in Simpro, then turn the Zap off. There is no data to move: both read and write the same Simpro build.
Questions
Does Zapier work with Simpro?
Yes. Zapier has a Simpro app with 12 triggers (new or updated customers, jobs, quotes, schedules and sites), 10 actions (such as creating customers, sites, leads, service jobs and service quotes, updating a job and attaching a file), and searches for the same records. Simpro lists it in its integration partners and says there is no cost from Simpro to use it.
What is the best Zapier alternative for Simpro?
It depends on the job. For simple record copies between two apps, Zapier is fine. For back-office work that needs the whole job, the money side of Simpro, judgement, or an approval before something is sent or paid, Sprigr is built for that: more than 300 Simpro actions, 29 Simpro events and approval gates on money.
Can Zapier create invoices in Simpro?
Invoice creation is not in the action list on Zapier's Simpro app page at the time of writing. Sprigr can create, send and record payment on Simpro invoices, each waiting for a person to approve.
What about Make or n8n?
Make lists a community-built Simpro app that Make itself does not maintain. With n8n or a similar tool you can call the Simpro API directly, which means handling authentication, rate limits and webhooks yourself; the Simpro API integration guide covers what that involves.
Is Sprigr harder to set up than a Zap?
No code in either case. In Sprigr you install the Simpro app, connect your login, and describe the work in plain English; Sprigr builds the workflow and you check it before switching it on.
