The back office around GitHub.
Sprigr runs the dev-ops admin layer around GitHub: issue triage (internal routing, not customer replies), PR review coordination, release notes assembly, repo monitoring, and cross-tool workflows. Your engineers still ship the code and reply to customers; Sprigr handles the admin around the work.
AI agents triage incoming issues, coordinate pull request reviews, generate release notes, and keep your team in sync across tools, so developers stay focused on shipping code, not managing process.
You focus on the work. Sprigr runs the paperwork.

What AI agents do with GitHub
From issue triage to release coordination, Sprigr handles the development workflow admin that slows your team down.
-
Issue triage & labelling
AI agents analyse new issues as they arrive, apply labels based on content and context, assign priority levels, and route them to the right team members. Stale issues get flagged automatically.
-
Pull request review coordination
Agents summarise the diff, post review comments, track review progress, and flag stalled PRs in the weekly report. Who reviews what stays with your team.
-
Release notes generation & distribution
Automatically compile release notes from merged pull requests and closed issues. Distribute changelogs to stakeholders via Slack, email, or your documentation site.
-
Bug report analysis with code context
When a bug report comes in, AI agents cross-reference it with recent commits, related issues, and code changes to surface likely root causes and suggest which files to investigate.
-
Repository monitoring & alerts
Issue and pull request events arrive by webhook as they happen. Failed checks surface from PR status, and unusual commit patterns get flagged. Get alerted before small problems become big ones.
-
Cross-team workflow automation
Connect GitHub events to Slack notifications, stakeholder updates, and downstream workflows. When a release ships, the right people hear about it in the right channels, automatically.
Up and running in minutes
Connect GitHub, define your rules, and let AI agents manage the rest.
- 01
Connect GitHub
Create a GitHub personal access token scoped to the repositories and permissions your agents need and paste it into Sprigr. The token is encrypted at rest in the vault and only decrypted at runtime in your isolated environment.
- 02
Define automation rules
Tell your agent what to handle in plain English. "Triage new issues and label them by component" or "generate release notes every time we tag a new version."
- 03
Let agents manage your repos
Agents start working immediately across your repositories. Every action is logged with a complete audit trail so you always know what changed and why.
GitHub is just the starting point. Combine it with Slack for real-time notifications, Gmail for stakeholder updates, and the code execution sandbox for automated analysis, all orchestrated by the same AI agent.

What can AI agents do with GitHub?
The GitHub tool exposes 29 actions across repositories, issues, pull requests, commits, branches, file contents, and code search: list and read repos, create and update issues, add labels and comments, open and update pull requests, read diffs and check status, post reviews, merge, create branches, and read or update files. Agents combine those with Slack, Gmail, and the workflow engine to triage issues, compile release notes from merged PRs, and keep the team informed.
Does Sprigr have access to my source code?
Only what the personal access token you create allows. The token's scope decides what any agent can reach, and every agent given the GitHub integration uses the same token, so if you want issue-only access, scope the token that way on GitHub. The token is encrypted at rest, decrypted only at runtime, and stored in isolated per-tenant infrastructure. Your data never touches another customer's environment.
How does issue automation work?
When a new issue is created, your AI agent analyses the title, description, and any attached context. It applies labels, sets priority, assigns the issue to the appropriate team member, and can even add a preliminary comment with relevant context from past issues or recent code changes. All of this happens in seconds, not hours.
Does this work with private repositories?
Yes. Sprigr works with both public and private repositories. Authentication is a GitHub personal access token (fine-grained or classic) that you scope to the repositories and organisations the agent may access. Rotate or revoke it on GitHub at any time and re-issue it in Sprigr.
How long does setup take?
Most teams are up and running in under fifteen minutes. Create the token, paste it in, and describe your workflows in plain English. No YAML files to write, just tell the agent what to do and it handles the rest.
