Motion
The Motion app turns a still image into a short cinematic video clip: a pan, push-in, pull-out or tilt across a product shot, a render, a property photo or a hero image. Agents iterate with cheap low-resolution drafts until you are happy, then render the final once at 1080p or 4K. Renders are asynchronous, taking roughly one to two and a half minutes, and every finished render is kept in a searchable index with its source, prompt, move, resolution and cost.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- Admin or Owner role in your Sprigr Team organisation to install the app.
- A still image the agent can reach: a file uploaded in chat, a file in your Sprigr workspace, or a URL.
Installing
Section titled “Installing”-
Install the app
Sign in to team.sprigr.com, open Apps in the sidebar, find Motion under Available, and install it. No secrets are requested. See Installing Apps.
-
Make it available to the right agents
Scope the install to the agents that should be able to render, since finals cost money.
-
Try a draft
Upload an image and ask your agent to make it move. The app’s settings page lists recent renders with their kind, camera move, model, status and video.
How a render works
Section titled “How a render works”- Create a project from one or more source images (
create_project). The image can be the first frame, a subject reference, or first and last frames. - Draft a cheap low-resolution preview with a camera move:
pan_left,pan_right,push_in,pull_out,tilt_uportilt_down, with an optional one-line hint about the motion or mood. The app wraps the hint in a steady, photorealistic cinematic style, so short hints work best. - Revise from a previous render’s recipe with tweaks, as many times as needed. Drafts and revisions are the cheap steps.
- Finalize the chosen draft in high quality at 1080p, or 4K, which adds an AI upscale of the 1080p final and takes a few extra minutes. The agent confirms before this step because it is the paid one.
- Collect the result: renders take about 60 to 150 seconds, and the agent checks back with
get_renderuntil the clip is ready, then shares the video link.list_rendersshows a project’s drafts and finals.
Indicative retail cost at the time of writing is about $2 for a 1080p final and about $4 for a 4K final; a draft is a small fraction of that. Costs appear on your usage.
Common use cases
Section titled “Common use cases”- Product video for a listing. A single product photo becomes a subtle push-in clip for the product page or an ad.
- Property and architecture. A render or listing photo becomes a slow pan for a social post.
- Social content at volume. A workflow drafts a clip for each new hero image and posts the ones a person approves.
- Pitch and presentation. Static slides gain a moving cover shot.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”The clip is not ready yet Renders are asynchronous and take one to two and a half minutes; 4K finals take longer. The agent polls and reports when it is done. Ask again if you have been waiting longer than five minutes.
The motion is not what I wanted Ask for a revise with a different camera move or a short hint. Long prompts do not help; the app applies the cinematic style itself.
The agent will not finalize Finalize is confirmation-gated because it costs money. Tell the agent which draft to finalize and confirm when asked.
4K is unavailable The 4K upscale is optional infrastructure; if it is not enabled, 1080p finals still work.
