Google Merchant Center
The Google Merchant Center app connects Merchant Center to Sprigr Team with complete Merchant API coverage: one named tool per API method across accounts and sub-accounts, users, business information, homepage, shipping, return policies, regions, programs, services, terms of service, product inputs and processed products, local and regional inventories, promotions, data sources and conversion sources, performance reports, quota, notification subscriptions, order tracking signals, issue resolution, local feeds partnership and reviews. Scheduled imports mirror your product listing status and Merchant Reports into data indexes, where each offer id pairs with the Shopify variant SKU.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- A Google account with access to the Merchant Center account or accounts you want agents to work with.
- Admin or Owner role in your Sprigr Team organisation to install the app.
Installing and connecting
Section titled “Installing and connecting”-
Install the app
Sign in to team.sprigr.com, open Apps in the sidebar, find Google Merchant Center under Available, and install it. See Installing Apps.
-
Connect a Google account
Open the app’s settings page from Apps > Installed and click Connect Google Merchant Center. Sign in and approve the request. The page then lists the accessible Merchant Center accounts; if exactly one is visible it becomes the default.
-
Set the default account
If several accounts are accessible, choose the default under Default Merchant Center account, or ask your agent to set it with
gmc_set_default_account. Use Refresh accounts after access changes in Merchant Center. -
Check the connection
Ask your agent “Is Merchant Center connected, and how many products are listed?” It calls
gmc_connection_statusandgmc_list_products.
Imports and data indexes
Section titled “Imports and data indexes”- Product status. Every 15 minutes the app continues a walk of each configured account’s product listing, completing a full catalogue pass once a day, and mirrors a flattened view (offer id, title, brand, availability, destination status) into the
product_statusindex. Offer id pairs with the Shopify variant SKU. - Merchant Reports. Every 15 minutes, with a resumable cursor, the app imports the report families: product performance (daily clicks, impressions and conversions per offer, month-sharded), product issues and price competitiveness (daily snapshots), and best sellers (monthly rankings). The first pass backfills 13 months.
gmc_perf_import_statusshows progress per account and family: phase, cursor date, rows imported, quota backoff and any report view Google has not made available to the account.gmc_perf_import_restartre-imports from the start or from a given day; every write is an upsert.
Reversible writes are journalled so the platform’s undo layer can restore a record’s previous state.

Common use cases
Section titled “Common use cases”- Disapproval triage. The agent lists disapproved offers with the reason and drafts fixes for the product data.
- Listing performance. A weekly workflow reports clicks, impressions and conversions per offer, joined to Shopify sales by SKU.
- Price benchmarking. Price competitiveness snapshots show where you sit against the market by product.
- Promotions. The agent creates a promotion for a sale period and confirms it is approved.
- Feed operations. “Fetch the primary feed now” triggers a data source fetch after a catalogue change.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Not connected Nobody has completed the Connect step, or the connection was revoked. Reconnect from the app’s settings page.
No accessible accounts The connected Google account has no Merchant Center access. Grant it in Merchant Center under Users, then use Refresh accounts.
A report view is unavailable
Some Merchant Reports views only exist for accounts enrolled in the matching program. gmc_perf_import_status shows which families are parked for that reason.
Quota errors
The Merchant API enforces per-account quotas; the imports back off automatically. gmc_list_quota_groups shows your usage.
